Prior to becoming a family nurse practitioner, I served in the United States Navy from 2001 to 2005. During that time, I was honored to receive the Captain’s Coin Award and an Admiral's Award on board the USS NIMITZ CVN68. I treasured my time in the United States Navy, and I am proud to be a veteran.
I started my education at the University of Texas at El Paso, where I earned my bachelors in Business Administration in 2008. I continued my education in 2013 and pursued my second bachelor’s where I graduated with honors, magna cum laude, from Texas Tech University Gayle Greve Hunt School of Nursing in 2013.
After receiving my registered nurse degree, I was accepted into the University Medical Center Preceptor nursing program where I developed a fall risk protocol where it was implemented throughout the entire hospital. The fall risk protocol was developed in mind with patient safety through evidence-based research and statistical analysis.
In 2016, I became a diabetes program educator at University Medical Center where I taught medical students and faculty at Texas Tech University alongside personnel from our community the importance of diabetes education. In 2019 I earned my master’s degree in nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington.
I am passionate about giving back to the community by providing compassionate and comprehensive medical care, striving to make a positive impact on the lives of my patients.
